Refuge provides support for victims of violence against women and girls, and domestic abuse in Kingston. We are the single point of access for help with Domestic Abuse, Sexual violence and rape, stalking, trafficking and FGM (Female Genital Mutilation).

We provide:

  • Independent gender violence advocates (IGVAs) to support both women and men who are at high risk of serious harm.
  • Early intervention service for 13–20-year-old girls and women.
  • A group programme called Own My Life for women focusing on the dynamics of domestic abuse – both face to face and online.
  •  
  • Weekly drop-in service (one stop shop) is held at Kingsgate Church, Clarence Street, Kingston every Monday from 9.30am to 12.30pm, to give residents the opportunity to meet with our outreach team, solicitors and housing.
  • Refuge accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse and in need of a safe place to stay.
