Youth Out Loud! Healthwatch Richmond

Info:

Youth Out Loud! are a group of young people aged 13-17 who work with Healthwatch in Kingston and in Richmond using their voices to make health and care services better for young people.

YOL! do this by making films, doing surveys, visiting, and reviewing local services, and making sure young people’s voices are heard. YOL! want to ensure that services work well for all young people in Richmond and Kingston and welcome new members all year round.

YOL! website also has physical and mental health signposting and information for young people.

Listen to their 'Celebrating LGBT History' podcast. It features conversations held at Youth Out Loud! during LGBT history month. Important experiences and views were shared, including sensitive discussions about HIV diagnosis, and a member of the Youth Council and Healthwatch Kingston's Chief Officer comparing their experiences of being part of the LGBT community now and in the 70s.

Volunteer with Healthwatch Richmond and help shape local services by making films, surveys and visiting local NHS settings. Apply by emailing to become a YOL! member.
